Kristin and Ian are both from Granville, IL, and went through the Putnam County school system. They have known each other for quite some time: at least since junior high, although photographic evidence has surfaced that tell us they were actually in the same pre-school class!

However they did not really hang out much until high school, when both were involved in scholastic bowl. After graduating from high school, Kristin went to Bradley University in Peoria, IL. When it came time for Ian to look at schools, his best friend Jason decided to go to Bradley. With some help and pushing from both Kristin and Jason, Ian decided to also attend Bradley, and roomed with Jason in the same dorm building Kristin lived in. From then on, they all hung out regularly. Kristin even had to teach them how to do laundry in the dorms!

About halfway through college, Kristin and Ian started dating – and the rest, as they say, is history! After nearly six years of dating, Ian surprised Kristin shortly after midnight on Christmas 2008 with a wedding proposal… and that’s how we got where we are today!
